Were you unknowingly infected this whole time?
Alex Reid here with your Monday roundup.
The hard thing about an invisible enemy is that you can’t see it. You can’t hear it. You can’t touch it. You can’t taste it. You can’t smell it.
Yet you know it’s there, because you can see the havoc it wreaks on peoples' lives.
And when it’s too late… you start to feel its presence, too.
That’s probably the weirdest aspect of this coronavirus era: the unknown.
You never know if someone at the grocery store has it…
Or the guy who dropped your groceries off at your house.
Or even the mailman or your loved one.
Now, I’m not one to advocate for living in fear.
You have to live your life. Enjoy it.
Take care of your nutrition, fitness, emotional well-being, and your spirit.
Don’t barricade yourself in the house, but it’s always important to keep yourself educated…
Which is why this is news worth sharing.
Due to antibody tests, figures came rolling in showing if someone has come in contact with the coronavirus in the past.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 20 million people have been infected by COVID-19. The catch is, most of them don’t even know it.
That means, there is a chance that both you and I have had COVID-19, yet we don't even know.
Read more about the antibody tests, right here.
On the other end of the spectrum, scientists suggest that a complete recovery from COVID may be nothing but a fairytale.
Dr. Eric Topol, a cardiologist and director of the Scripps Research Translation Institute in La Jolla, California, adds: "We thought this was only a respiratory virus. Turns out, it goes after the pancreas. It goes after the heart. It goes after the liver, the brain, the kidney and other organs. We didn’t appreciate that in the beginning."
Moreover, Global News reports that COVID patients can experience a long list of subsequent conditions: stroke, seizures, confusion, loss of taste and smell, and “extreme inflammation that attacks multiple organ systems.”

The U.S. hit an all-time record.
Last Friday, America had 45,300 new coronavirus cases in just that one day.
And according to CBS News: “In Texas and Florida, two of the nation's largest states, governors are reversing course and tightening restrictions after coronavirus numbers jumped following their reopenings. Texas reported that more than 5,100 coronavirus patients are currently hospitalized – a record high for the 15th consecutive day.”
Here’s more on the backpedaling many states are taking to secure the safety of its citizens.
